POPAT Programme of Phoneme Awareness Training
POPAT Welcome to POPAT POPAT

POPAT Client Area

Education Authority Support Services Through LEA/ Health Authority

Outline

The training programme for Specialist Teachers offers the same course structure as mainstream POPAT training, but specific adjustments and additions (with accompanying resources) are introduced for use in specific and individual teaching situations.

A detailed description of the content of each part of the POPAT programme is outlined in ‘Training for Individuals’

Additionally, following the training and monitoring, we would be seeking to develop POPAT trainers from within support services so that independent management of training and support, and wider distribution of the programme would be possible.
